During this intensive ten day workshop, the historic Webb Hardware building in downtown Minden, LA was reimagined from its existing state, a pawn shop, to a modern day multi-use space featuring retail spaces, artist studios, residential needs, and private rooftop gardens.

The group assisted each other throughout the process with the goal of creating an environmentally responsible design while incorporating historic preservation strategies. Meeting with local residents and collecting their input heavily factored into the design.

The purpose of The LSU Minden Main Street Workshop is to encourage sustainable growth amongst Louisiana’s small towns and cities in addition to fostering a more resilient community.
